Today our Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the two-day Drone Festival 2022 at Pragati Maidan in Delhi. During this he also inspected the exhibition. The Prime Minister said, “I am impressed by the drone exhibition. By 2030, India will become a drone hub.” He said, in every stall I went to today, everyone used to proudly say that this is Make in India.

The Prime Minister said, “this festival is not just about drones, it is a celebration of New India – New Governance. The enthusiasm that is being seen in India and our youth regarding drone technology is amazing. This energy is visible, it is a reflection of the quantum jump in the drone service and drone based industry in India.” The PM said, “This energy shows the potential of an emerging large sector of employment generation in our country.” This was the time that eight years ago, we started implementing new mantras of good governance in India, he said.

Technology understood as part of the problem

Prime Minister Modi further said, “Earlier governments considered technology to be part of the problem. Attempts were made to prove him as anti-poor. Due to this, there was an atmosphere of indifference regarding the use of emerging technology in governance before 2014. The poorest always suffered the most, the deprived and the middle class suffered the most.” He further said, “Through technology, we can move ahead and achieve the goal of Antyodaya.”

Drones being used in every sector

The Prime Minister said that drones are being used in every sector. Today farmers are also using drones technology in agriculture. He said that with the help of this, new development works are being inspected across the country.
