Virat Kohli Became ICC Player Of The Month, Got The Award For Great Performance In T20 World Cup!!

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the player of the month award for the month of October. India’s legendary batsman Virat Kohli has been awarded this award in men and Pakistan’s veteran all -rounder Nida Dar in women. He has been awarded this award for a great performance in the T20 series and T20 World Cup against South Africa. Kohli collided with Sikander Raza of Zimbabwe and David Miller of South Africa, but Kohli got the most votes.
Kohli has performed brilliantly in cricket’s shortest format last month. He scored an unbeaten 82 runs in India’s first match of the T20 World Cup against Pakistan. He alone made India win this match. At one time against Pakistan, Team India lost four wickets for 31 runs and seemed out of the equation. After this, the Indian team achieved a target of 160 runs thanks to Kohli’s innings. Kohli played just 52 balls for an innings of 82 runs. Kohli called this innings as the best T20 innings of his career.

After winning the Player of the Month Award, Kohli said- “It is a great respect for me. This honor becomes even more special for me by being selected by fans and panels around the world as a standout player. I would also like to congratulate other nominated players, who performed so well during the month. Also I would like to thank my colleagues, who always support me to best”.

In the T20 World Cup itself, Kohli also scored a half-century against the Netherlands. In the second match against the Netherlands, Kohli scored an unbeaten 62 in 44 balls. Apart from this, Kohli scored an unbeaten 49 in 28 balls in the second match played in Guwahati during the domestic T20 series against South Africa. Due to this, India defeated South Africa in the T20 series.
