Vaccination’s plan revised for year 2022 in India releases today on the eve of Xmas. This new plan is announced is by the Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi via a live press release. These additions are done due to the rise of Omicron in the country and across the world. In today’s speech PM congratulates the nation for the festive time and he also reminds people not to forget the presence of Corona around us. He says that till date India has administered more than 141 crore doses of vaccine. He appeals to all to stay vigilant and wear mask and sanitize.

Vaccination Plan 2022 Highlights:

The Vaccination plan is the key to keep our fight on against Corona. Considering this thing in mind few new additions to the vaccination plan are released today to combat the surge of Omicron in the nation. Firstly the teenagers in the country will be getting vaccination against corona. This phase will begin from 3rd January 2022 and the age group eligible for vaccination is 15 to 18 years . Secondly, the Corona warriors of our country will receive the Booster shot. The booster shot of the vaccination will start rolling out from the 10th of January 2022. Corona Warrior includes the Healthcare Workers and Front line Workers of the country. Thirdly, the senior citizens with comorbidities above age of 60 will get precautionary dose if advised by the doctor.

Sharing the seriousness of the situation PM says that every country has a different experience with the pandemic. The new variant Omicron is showing different impact worldwide but we have to stay protected at an individual level as it proves the best safety guard. PM Modi also adds that till now 90% of the eligible population has received their first dose and more than 64% have received the second dose of vaccination. He also tells that we are having 18 lakhs isolation beds, 5 lakhs oxygen supported beds , 1.40 lakh ICU beds, 90,000 pediatric ICU and Non ICU beds. We have 3,000 working PSA oxygen plants and 4 lakh oxygen cylinder are in circulation throughout the country. At the end PM advises to stay vigilant and not to panic from Omicron. Omicron cases is 415 in India with Maharashtra having 108 cases.
