UP Assembly Elections: Why Samajwadi Party Fail To Make A Mark?

BJP has enjoyed a one-sided victory in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. BJP is leading in 268 assembly seats as per the election results coming now. The main opposition party of the state i.e. SP is leading in 122 seats.

BJP is forming the government in Uttar Pradesh for the second time in a row. Samajwadi Party i.e. Akhilesh Yadav did not get the support of the people of Uttar Pradesh, which he expected.

Let us know why people have rejected Akhilesh Yadav and his alliance even after making big promises.

Akhilesh Fails On Issue Of Law And Order

Samajwadi Party president and former chief minister Akhilesh Yadav has completely failed on the issue of law and order. People are feeling safe under the rule of the BJP.

Therefore, the law and order of the Yogi government in Uttar Pradesh is still pleasing to the public and Akhilesh Yadav has completely failed on this issue.

People Did Not Believe Promises Of SP On Beneficiary Schemes

During the election campaign, Akhilesh Yadav had announced to start many schemes for the students and unemployed youth. The youth and students have not reposed faith in these promises of Akhilesh.

Farmers’ Movement Did Not Run

The SP alliance i.e. Rashtriya Lok Dal Party (RLD) is considered to be a party with a good hold in western Uttar Pradesh. The RLD and SP alliance did not get the benefit it was supposed to get from the farmers’ movement.

The issue of the peasant movement did not work in other parts including western Uttar Pradesh. Even in Lakhimpur Kheri, the BJP is registering victory in eight of the eight seats. It was here that the issue of driving on farmers was raised in full swing.

Public Rejects Issues On Stray Animals

People in rural areas of Uttar Pradesh are very angry with stray animals. However, the public rejected this issue in the assembly elections. Akhilesh Yadav had also raised the issue of stray animals from an open platform and talked about reining in stray animals when the SP government came.

Today’s election results show that stray cattle was not a big issue in Uttar Pradesh.
