Tired Of Waiting In Long Railway Queues? Railways Started Automatic Ticket Vending Machine To Help You Out!!

If you too often travel by train, then this news is definitely of your use. A new facility for ticketing has been started by the Railways Ministry of India for the convenience of the passengers. With this, railway passengers will get rid of waiting in long queues to get tickets. Under the new facility of Railways, you will also be able to pay through digital transactions for the facilities available from Automatic Ticket Vending Machine (ATVM).

Appeal To Pay Maximum In Digital Mode

Under this scheme, you can pay in digital mode to get tickets, platform tickets and monthly passes from ATVM. Arrangements have been made for ATVMs and UPI and QR codes will be installed at many railway stations. You can also recharge ATVM smart card through this facility. On the occasion of starting this new facility from the railways, appealed to the passengers to pay maximum in digital mode and get rid of long queues.

Will Get Rid Of Long Line

The facility of ATVM is being started by the railways at such stations, where there is more congestion of more passengers. At such stations, the Railway Board often received complaints from passengers about the waiting lines for long hours to get tickets. There have also been cases of passengers missing the train due to long queues they have to wait in.

How Will It Work

Under this facility, you will have to pay by scanning the QR code that is supported by Paytm, PhonePe, Freecharge and UPI based mobile apps. You will see this QR code flashing on the ATV Machine, after which you will have to scan it. After scanning the QR code and making the payment, you will get the ticket to your destination. To promote this digital facility of digital payment by the Railways, the facility to buy tickets from QR code has been started.
