Sainik School To Be Renamed As Shaheed Bhagat Singh Armed Forces Preparatory School

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has made a big announcement for the defence aspiring students of Delhi before 23 March which is marked as Martyrs’ Day. Kejriwal has told that the name of Sainik School which was announced by the Delhi Government last year will be ‘Shaheed Bhagat Singh Armed Forces Preparatory School’.

In a press conference, CM Kejriwal said, “Tomorrow is March 23, the day on which all three Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev were hanged. Tomorrow is the day of martyrdom of these three sons of India. Delhi government is going to make an important announcement on this occasion.”

Arvind Kejriwal said that on December 20, 2021, their cabinet had decided that they will build a school where children will be trained to join the army. So that they can be selected in NDA, Navy and Airforce.

In the end, Arvind Kejriwal further said that this would be a way for the people of Delhi to pay tribute to Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh on their martyrdom.

CM Kejriwal said that they will rename the school as Shaheed Bhagat Singh Armed Forces Preparatory School after Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh.
This school will be completely free and every facility of this school will be available for free. Even this school will be residential school.

It will be built on 14 acres in Jharoda Kalan and it will be a very modern school in the heart of the city which will be equipped with all modern facilities required.

Children will be prepared for Army, Navy and Airforce in this school. Retired officers of the armed forces will be brought to the school to provide training to the students here.

This school will be for the children living in Delhi. Any child who lives in Delhi can apply for admission in this school. This school will have admission in class IX and XI. There will be admission on 100 seats each in both the classes.

From this year, classes will start in this school, to everyone’s wonder so far 18 thousand applications have been received for 200 seats. On March 27, the entrance examination for class IX will be held and on March 28, the examination for admission to class 11 will be held.

The examination to be held on 27th and 28th March will be the Phase One examination which will be an aptitude test. There will be interviews in phase two after which admissions will be given.
