President Draupadi Murmu To Attend The Funeral Of British Queen Elizabeth II, Read To Know More!!

The state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II is going to be held on 17-19 September 2022. And according to media sources, it is reported that the President of India, Draupadi Murmu will go to London to join the Indian side and express her condolences on behalf of the Indian government.

The Ministry of External Affairs gave this information on Wednesday. Let us tell you that Queen Elizabeth II died on 8 September after suffering from long term illness and India also expressed national mourning on Sunday. President Draupadi Murmu, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi condoled the death of Queen Elizabeth II. Simultaneously, External Affairs Minister of India S Jaishankar visited the British High Commission here on 12 September and expressed his condolences on behalf of India to UK dignitaries.

More than 500 dignitaries of the world are expected to attend Funeral
About 500 world leaders, including kings and queens of various states, heads of state, heads of government, as well as foreign dignitaries are expected to attend the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, one of Britain’s most important diplomatic events in recent history.

The queen visited India many times

Queen Elizabeth II visited India three times during her tenure. Queen Elizabeth II was first given a grand welcome in 1961 at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi. Here she addressed a large gathering in the presence of the then Prime Minister of India Jawaharlal Nehru.
