PM’s Security Lapse Is Congress’s “Conspiracy”: Shivraj Singh Chouhan

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan made a statement in a press conference alleging the breach in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s security on January 5 was “sponsored” and not a “spontaneous” event. He said, that the Congress party was linked with the “conspiracy” behind it.

Questioning the absence of Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, Chouhan said he had been the CM for many years while the Congress was in the Centre. The state government had kept an eye on every time the PM visited MP.

The CM further said that the authorities gave complete information about the route to the top officials, it was completely ignored. He termed the security lapse as “collusion.”

“This shows that the security breach was not mere carelessness but a work of collusion. When the entire country expressed concern about the PM’s security breach, Congress leaders were expressing joy,” Chouhan said.

Chouhan Targets Sonia Gandhi:

CM Chouhan also posed questions to Congress president Sonia Gandhi regarding the absence of Punjab CM Channi during the PM’s visit.

“Channi said he was not there because someone close to him got COVID-19 infection, but just after the incident, he appeared at a press conference without wearing a mask. The vehicles of the Chief Secretary and DGP were running without the officers concerned inside,” Chouhan said.

Chouhan demanded Sonia Gandhi an explanation for CM Channi and Punjab DGP’s absence.

On January 5, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s convoy was kept stranded on a flyover as a result of protesters blocking the road in Ferozepur, resulting in a major security lapse.
