Following their triumph, Jaishankar, the minister of external affairs of India, M. Venkaiah Naidu, the country’s former vice president, and Mallikarjun Kharge, the leader of the Congress Party, all sent messages of congratulations to the RRR team. In the category for best original song, “Naatu Naatu” competed with songs like “Lift Me Up” from Black Panther, “This Is A Life” from Everything Everywhere All at Once, and “Applause” from “Tell It Like a Woman”. Golden Globe and Critics’ Choice Awards for Best Original Song have already been given to the song. With no doubt, India’s pride has increased as a result of the song’s Oscar victory.
