Omicron rise in different States across the country brings a new set of rules. These new rules and regulations are announced recently only by the different states. Certainly, these set of guidelines is formed keeping in mind about the festivals, Xmas, and New Year around the corner. At this moment India’s tally of Omicron is 341. Maharashtra has 88cases, followed by Delhi at 64. Amid the rise of Omicron PM Modi calls a COVID-19 Review meeting to discuss the situation. As a result of this meeting, the Center government asks the state to impose local restrictions if needed ahead of the festive season. States need to stay more active in keeping a check on the positivity rate, doubling rate, and formation of new groups across different districts, as advised by the Center. The Union Health Ministry also asked the states to increase the vaccination speed during the upcoming election season.

Omicron Rise Brings New Rules For Festival Time:

At this point of time Omicron cases can be multiplied many folds if restrictions are not applied and keeping this in mind different state sets different guidelines. Firstly, Delhi Disaster Management Authority [DDMA] announces no event or gathering to celebrate Xmas or New Year in the capital. It also announces all social, political, religious, and cultural are banned till the new announcement. Secondly, Madhya Pradesh announces the night curfew in the state from 11 pm to 5 am. Thirdly, Haryana announced no entry in the state without two doses of vaccination in places like malls, cinemas, bars and pubs, banks etc. Next in the line is Bengaluru banning all celebrations in the state from 30th December to 2nd January. Similarly, Chennai and Bhuvaneshwar also restrict public gatherings for the festive week. Punjab government took a further step ahead and announcing that no salaries will be paid without complete certificate of vaccination.

We all are aware that corona is a deadly disease and with new variants coming in its difficult to control the spread. So such restrictions are always helpful in keeping the numbers in control. Every minute fresh cases are adding up. So as a result, Vaccination and Covid appropriate behavior are the main points which every person have to follow to stay protected. One more important thing WHO informs that as vaccination rate goes up unmasking increases in that area.
