Mosque Temple Controversy: All Mosques Older Than 100 Years To Go Under Confidential Survey After PIL Filed In Supreme Court!!

Following the ongoing temple mosque controversy that is gaining the moment with each passing day now another PIL is filed in Supreme Court of India. A PIL has been filed in the Supreme Court seeking a direction to conduct a confidential survey by the Archaeological Survey of India of all ancient and prominent mosques in India having wells and ponds that are more than a hundred years old in the country.

The PIL has sought the replacement of Wudu in ponds and wells of mosques which are more than a hundred years old. The petition has also demanded that a confidential survey may be completed so that unnecessary communal hatred and hurting religious sentiments, if any remains, can be avoided that is being done these days by one or the other person.

The petition has been filed by Advocate Shubham Awasthi through Advocate Vivek Narayan Sharma and Sapta Rishi Mishra has demanded seeking directions to keep the disputed properties free from any interference from any party or their interference till a detailed confidential survey and report is submitted.

The petition seeks to direct the respondents to conduct a survey on all ancient major mosques which are more than 100 years old and are in dispute due to presence of relics mentioned in Ramayana/ Mahabharata/ Puranas/ Upanishads/ Vedas/Jain. Agama/ Buddhist texts/ ancient religious texts relating to Hindus/ Sikhs/ Jains/ Buddhists in India, as well as wells for wudu or hidden passages of relics belonging to Hindus/ Jains/ Sikhs/ Buddhists and providing directions for their protection has been demanded.
