Latest News: Kerala BJP Gets Letter Claiming Life Threat To PM Modi During State Visit, Cops Launch Probe: Deets Inside!

The threat letter is said to have arrived at the BJP headquarters on April 17. During PM Modi’s two-day visit to Kerala, Kerala BJP head K Surendran reportedly got a letter citing a life threat. According to reports, the letter was sent by Joseph Jonny, an Ernakulam resident. According to sources, the letter allegedly arrived at the BJP headquarters on April 17. Surendran then handed over the letter to the police.

“We handed over the threat letter to the police. It’s also baffling to note that an intelligence report of the Kerala Police mentions strong presence of terrorist and anti-national forces in the state and it’s baffling as one doesn’t know if the timing of the report comes at a time when the PM Modi is visiting or is it something else,” Surendran stated IANS.

Later, the cops tracked down the sender and narrowed it down to Jonny. However, Johnny denied having any knowledge of the letter. PM Modi is set to arrive in Kochi on April 24 for a roadshow. PM Modi will also address a youth gathering and meet with the supreme leaders of nine different Churches.

PM Modi will arrive in Thiruvananthapuram on April 25 to launch the Vande Bharata Express, after which he will inaugurate a few other projects from Central Stadium. The Prime Minister will subsequently depart for Gujarat. Kerala BJP state president K Surendran stated on Twitter, “As the sun rises over the bustling streets of Kerala, there is a palpable sense of excitement & anticipation in the air. On the 24th we are hosting a very special guest, a man whose influence reaches beyond the borders, whose leadership has captivated the world. #KeralamAwaitsModi.”
