Know Mythological Facts About India’s First Indigenous Aircraft Carrier INS Vikrant Commissioned Into Navy By PM Modi Today!!

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday i.e. September 2 commissioned the Indian Navy’s first indigenous aircraft carrier INS Vikrant. So before going to the commissioning process of aircraft let’s talk about the name adoption of the carrier as Vikrant and it’s motto. Vikrant means warrior, and courageous and the one who is brave is Vikrant. The one who conquers even the victors is Vikrant.

On the other hand, in the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita (1.6), the Panchala warrior Yudhamanyu has been called Vikrant. It is said in Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, “Yudhamanyushch Vikrant Uttamujascha Veeravan.” It was Yudhamanyu who killed Karna’s brother Chitrasen. Now, talking about the motto of INS Vikrant, the motto has also been chosen very carefully. The motto of Vikrant is: “Jayem San Yudhi Sprudha” (May we have complete victory over the enemies in battle). This motto has been taken from Rigveda (1.8.3). In this hymn, famous sage Madhuchandas prays to Vaishvamitra, Lord Indra for victory. They say- “Indra tvotas aa vayam vajram ghana dadimahi.”

Today, India has also taken a step towards coming out of its colonial mindset. And in the new emblem unveiled by the Navy, the octagonal design of the Rajmudra of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, considered the father of the Indian Navy, has also been given a place. These eight angles show alertness, and the activity in the eight directions of the Navy. The Indian navy which was formed by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was a unique navy of its time. It was due to this navy, the enemies of the Marathas could not capture their important bases.
