Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav left the world at the age of 82. Mulayam Singh breathed his last at 8:15 am on Monday morning. Giving information about this sad news, Akhilesh Yadav said, ‘My respected father and everyone’s leader is no more.’ Mulayam Singh Yadav was admitted to Medanta Hospital in Delhi for the last several days. PM Modi said, “Mulayam Singh Yadav ji was rich in a unique personality. He was widely praised as a humble and down to earth leader who was sensitive to the problems of the people. He served the people diligently and devoted his life to popularizing the ideals of Loknayak JP and Dr. Lohia.”

In another tweet, PM Modi said that Mulayam Singh Yadav ji made his own identity in UP and national politics. He had emerged as a prominent soldier of democracy during the Emergency. As Defense Minister, he worked for a strong India. His parliamentary interventions used to be practical and emphasized on furthering the national interest.

Expressing grief on the death of Mulayam Singh, Shiv Sena MP Priyanka Chaturvedi said, “My heartfelt condolences to Akhilesh Yadav and Yadav family and all the members of Samajwadi Party and its supporters. He also said that he has left behind a huge legacy of work and service. We all will miss him very much.”
