“India Enhanced Its Forest Cover While Expanding 4G-5G Network” Says PM Modi On World Environment Day: Deets Inside!

On Monday, Prime Minister Modi stated that India is heavily emphasising the environment as part of its growth strategy, just like any other field. On the one hand, India has improved its forest cover while also expanding its 4G/5G network, according to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday. Speaking at the World Environment Day event, PM Modi said that India is putting a lot of emphasis on the environment as it would any other field in order to advance.

“India focuses on the environment in a big way just like any other area for its growth,” According to the news agency PTI, PM Modi stated. India has improved its forest cover while simultaneously expanding its 4G/5G network, he continued. In addition, PM Modi stated that India is advancing with a clear plan for combating climate change and environmental protection while striking a balance between immediate needs and long-term goals. 

The elimination of single-use plastic is the focus of this year’s World Environment Day. While this is a global concern, India has been actively tackling it for the past four to five years, according to PM Modi, who was reported by PTI. “In 2018 itself, India started working at two levels for getting rid of single-use plastic. On one hand, we banned single-use plastic and on the other hand we made the plastic waste processing mandatory,” he stated.

Additionally, PM Modi stated that India is advancing with a clear path for addressing climate change and environmental protection while striking a balance between immediate needs and long-term goals. “The theme of this year’s World Environment Day is to get rid of single-use plastic, an issue about which the world is talking today but India has been working on it consistently for the last four-five years, PM Modi said, as quoted by PTI. “In 2018 itself, India started working at two levels for getting rid of single-use plastic.
