According to staff at Tihar jail, the former minister fell in the morning while using the lavatory. In order to examine a spinal issue, he was brought to the Safdarjung Hospital on Monday. On Saturday, he was transported to the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Hospital where he was evaluated by medical professionals for a second opinion. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) detained Jain on May 31, 2022, in connection with a money laundering investigation.

Satyendar Jain, an AAP leader, was transferred from Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital to the Intensive Care Unit of LNJP Hospital in Delhi. He has supplemental oxygen. According to Tihar jail staff, Today i.e on 25/05/2023 in the morning at around 6:00 am, UTP Dr Satendra Jain slipped/fell down in the bathroom of MI Room of the hospital of CJ-7, where he was kept under observation for general weakness. Then he was examined by the doctors. Vitals were normal. He was further referred to DDU Hospital as he complained about pain in his back, left leg and shoulder.”

Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister, blamed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for Jain’s situation, he tweeted: “The person who was working day and night to provide good treatment and good health to the public, today a dictator is bent on killing that good person. That dictator has only one thought – to finish everyone, he lives only in “I”. He only wants to see himself.”

“God is watching all, he will do justice to all. I pray to God for Satyendra ji’s speedy recovery. May God give them the strength to fight against these adverse circumstances,” he added. Jain has been detained at Delhi’s Tihar Jail since his arrest in connection with a money laundering case last year. On Saturday, he was transferred to the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Hospital, but because he sought a second opinion, he was taken to the Safdarjung Hospital, a senior jail official told news agency PTI.

According to a source quoted by PTI, he was examined by medical professionals at the Safdarjung Hospital for a spine issue. “Jain visited the neurosurgery OPD in the morning and after being examined by the doctors there, he left. He was accompanied by police,” a spokesperson of the Safdarjung Hospital stated, as quoted by PTI. “I pray to god for his better health. The people of Delhi are watching the arrogance and atrocities of the BJP. Even God will not forgive these oppressors. In this struggle, the people are with us and God is by our side. We are followers of Bhagat Singh and our fight against oppression, injustice and dictatorship will continue,” he tweeted in Hindi on Monday.
