COVID-19: Covaxin Removed From WHO’s Covax Platform; Vaccine Safe To Use!

The World Health Organization (WHO) has removed Covaxin, a coronavirus vaccine that is developed in India by Bharat Biotech, from its Covax platform.

The COVID vaccines included in this platform of WHO are given global support in production, international supply, development, research etc. but now the World Health Organization (WHO) has removed this vaccine from its portal suddenly.

The World Health Organization (WHO) had said last Saturday that it had found deficiencies in Covaxin’s production process, but that there were no issues with the vaccine’s efficacy and safety and therefore they have removed the vaccine from the portal.

Covaxin manufacturer Bharat Biotech claimed that the crores of people who have been vaccinated with this vaccine are completely safe, and their vaccination certificates are also valid and will be valid.

The organization made it clear that it got Covaxin’s effect already tested, and there was no change in it. And the vaccine is still effective and there is no need to worry about safety standards. However, the organization has excluded Covaxin from the procurement process of UN agencies.

Company bid: No compromise on the quality of the vaccine

After getting the Emergency Use Authorization (EUL), the organization got Bharat Biotech investigated from March 14 to 22. The company quoted the organization’s statement as safe for the vaccine. However, it will now slow down the production of this vaccine, making necessary improvements at production centres.

Now we will also look into pending maintenance, production processes and improvements. The company claimed that it never compromised on the quality of the vaccine and will now improve according to global standards and requirements.
