Amit Shah In West Bengal: Introduces Water Ambulance To Deliver Life-Saving Drugs

Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, has begun a two-day tour to West Bengal, his first visit to the state since the assembly elections in 2021. When Amit Shah arrived at the Kolkata International Airport on Thursday morning, he was received by Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Nitish Pramanik and senior BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari.

Over the course of his two-day tour, the Union Home Minister will go to the front area along the Indo-Bangladesh border, where he will have an organisational meeting with members of the state unit that has been demoralised, as well as participate in cultural events and public demonstrations. While in India, Shah will meet with the Director-General of the Border Security Force, Pankaj Kumar Singh, and other senior personnel.

Amit takes a huge leap to advance medical facilities in Bengal. Meanwhile, Shah inaugurated a Water Ambulance in the Hingalganj area of North 24 Parganas on Thursday, with the goal of delivering life-saving medical assistance to the residents of that region.

By situating a health boat on the sea, this beneficial action will be able to address the bulk of the inhabitants’ health concerns. Besides meeting with senior BSF officers, Shah also discussed issues like cross-border smuggling, border security, and security difficulties along the India-Bangladesh border.

In addition, the Union Home Minister increased the number of current floating BOPs (border outposts) of the Border Security Force (BSF) for border guarding and surveillance purposes. Six further BOPs were launched near the South Bengal Frontier on Thursday, according to him. Shah named these six floating BOPs after rivers like the Ganga, Kaveri, Krishna, Narmada, Sabarmati, and Sutlej.

Following the conclusion of the meeting at BSF camp Haridaspur, Shah will go to Siliguri for the public protest. In addition, he will meet with the senior party leader in Siliguri to address their issues and to give guidance on the party’s future.
